Benzin

Mapping ändern

Hi Leutz,

resultierenden Thesen dazu.

in Deutsch

in english

Gangs heraus

plus evtl. der Zündzeitpunkt auf 4 ° früher.

Das hat den Kraftstoffverbrauch noch nie erhöht.

we usually only flash out the restrictions of 2nd/3rd and 6th gear

plus evtl. the ignition time point to 4° earlier.

that never ever increased the fuel consumption.

Das ecu-Mapping und seine Veränderung :

the ecu-mapping and its changing :

here another "docotor´s thesis" - lol - from across the pond

unsere Gedanken :

our thoughts :

the gen1 is by no means too fat/rich for its maximum performance in the lower and middle speed range, it only gets fatter/richer from approx. 6-7,000 and higher.

from this speed/rpm´s on you should can tune a little less rich than the original so as not to cool the combustion too much.
means :

the amount of petrol should can be reduced over 6-7,000 rpm by up to 15% and thus achieve more power, but not yet to endanger the engine by becoming less / not enough richer (resultant overheating).

the gen1´s (& gen2) mapping is, in the original condition, written for its best performance in the lower and middle speed range by no means tuned too rich, it is only set to "fatter" from approx. 6-7,000 and higher.

Our ideas here are that from this speed/rpm on you could tune a little less fat/rich than the original to cool the combustion less.

but:

Nobody has ever had the "bollocks" to test it like this on a test bench - the risk of killing the engine is simply too big.

so it stays with the thoughts.

what we have found out as a principle:

the ecu-mapping of the busa (and the same applies to all other injectors) is written for all possible areas of application, i.e. from -30°C to +50°C and from sea level to approx. 4 or 5000 meters so that they, in their original condition, really work well all over the world.

so, if you know exactly in which area - ambient temperature / altitude - you are moving the busa, you should can change the mapping in this regard in order to possibly achieve more performance.
